Our mission statement articulates that we pursue high standards for each individual child. Careful planning and differentiation ensures that children of all abilities make excellent progress. Children's gifts and talents are recognised, celebrated and developed through our broad and enriching curriculum.
We aim to challenge and inspire all children, with those of high ability being encouraged to broaden their academic horizons and build on their innate abilities. Many children benefit from additional support, either in the classroom or in structured programmes which take place during the week.
The ‘Pupil Premium', a government initiative which provides an annual sum for children who qualify for free school meals, is used to fund high quality support through support assistants and intervention programmes targeting particular areas of children's learning. Data analysis shows that the many and varied aspects of our Special Educational Needs provision enable children to learn more effectively and accelerate their academic progress.
