What is Head Start? 
The Gerrards Cross CE School Head Start Fund CIO is a registered charity that provides grants to the school to advance the education of pupils at our school by providing and assisting in the provision of educational equipment, facilities and resources for the benefit of our school and its pupils. Its aim is to protect and maintain the high quality of education received by every child so they get the best 'head start' to their academic journey and beyond.
We need your help
At a time when funding from central government is inadequate, we urgently need your help by donating to our Head Start Charity.
The school estimates an average shortfall of approximately £133k in 2025-2026, and £145k in 2026-2027, if we are to retain the exceptionally high quality of education and curriculum-enriching activities we currently give our children.

How much should I donate?
Every contribution helps protect the rich, high-quality education our children enjoy. We want supporting the school to feel simple, affordable and achievable for every family, so please give whatever feels manageable for you, whether that is a small regular monthly donation or a one-off gift. As a guide, the price of a hot drink between £2 and £5 per day per child (£60 -150 per month) would make a significant difference towards closing the funding gap and continue to give every pupil the best possible start.
Regular monthly contributions are ideal to provide certainty in budgeting and investing, however one-off contributions are of course incredibly welcome.
