School day and term dates
All classrooms open at 8.45am when ‘Prime Time’ activities and interventions begin. Pupils are encouraged to arrive from 8.45am in order to benefit from the range of educational activities that start the school day. The register is taken from 8.45am as pupils arrive. Pupils arriving after 9am are recorded as being late (but before the register closes). Arrivals after 9.05am are recorded as ‘absent’. The school day finishes for all pupils at 3.30pm.
Classrooms are therefore open to all pupils for 33.75 hours each week.
