Our PTA
Parent volunteers can make a vital and marked difference to their child’s school, and our Parent Teacher Association (PTA) aims to do just that at The Gerrards Cross CE School.
Our PTA is a group of parents, carers and staff working together to support the school and help every child flourish through community events, fundraising and shared involvement.
What we do
Throughout the school year we run exciting and engaging events to fundraise for the school. Events include:
- Christmas Fair
- Adult wreath‑making evening
- Lent Fair raffle
- Summer fair – 'Party in the Playground'
Everyone gets involved, having fun as well as raising much‑appreciated funds.
All funds raised from PTA events go directly to funding resources the school may not otherwise be able to afford, improving our children’s experience of their education.
What we’ve funded
In the past few years, the PTA has funded:
- Brand new bike and scooter sheds
- Astroturf on the KS1 playground
- Air-conditioning for the ICT suite and Year 6 classrooms
- Library books
- STEM and Arts weeks
- KS1 Christmas party and KS2 disco
- New sets of iPads
- Ergonomically designed chairs for all classrooms
Staying in touch
Events are advertised through Classlist, the PTA’s primary communication tool. Each member of the school community is encouraged to sign up to keep in touch with PTA news and events.

Get involved
Fundraising success is only made possible by the involvement of parents, and we are always on the lookout for new volunteers who are willing to dedicate some of their time to help us achieve this.
